Our Foot Care Services

All care is provided by licensed registered nurses using single-use instruments opened new for every client. We provide routine nursing care and education. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

New to professional foot care? Read why routine foot care matters, especially for seniors and people with diabetes →

Basic Foot Care

Our most requested service, for anyone who needs safe, professional nail and skin care. Most clients come to us with thickened nails, corns, or calluses that have become difficult or risky to manage at home.

Toenail trimming and filing Reduction of thickened nails as needed Callus and corn care Moisturizing Nursing observation of skin, structure, and circulation

Diabetic Foot Care

With diabetes, reduced sensation and slower healing mean a minor cut or callus carries more consequence. Every visit includes careful observation so changes are noticed early, and anything needing medical attention is referred.

All Basic Foot Care services Skin integrity observation Circulation and protective sensation checks Observation for skin breakdown, blisters, and nail changes Education on daily foot care at home

Vascular Foot Care

We care for clients with peripheral vascular disease and venous insufficiency. Reduced circulation makes foot care both more important and more delicate, and we work accordingly.

Observation of circulation, sensation, and movement Careful nail and skin care for higher-risk feet Attention to skin integrity changes Education on vascular foot health

Thickened & Discolored Nails

Thickened, hard-to-cut, or yellowed toenails are the single most common reason clients call us. We reduce nail volume mechanically with a rotary tool and single-use burrs rather than forcing clippers, which is safer and more comfortable.

All Basic Foot Care services Nail observation and documentation Safe mechanical nail reduction Education on over-the-counter products Referral to a podiatrist when indicated

Callus & Corn Care

Painful callus changes how you distribute weight, which affects balance and can produce secondary knee, hip, and back discomfort. We reduce conservatively and look at the pressure causing it, because reduction alone means it returns.

Conservative reduction with single-use abrasives Observation of surrounding skin Moisturizing Footwear and prevention education

Hospice & Comfort Care

For hospice and palliative patients the goal shifts entirely to comfort and dignity. Care is gentle, unhurried, and coordinated with the hospice team.

Our Standard

Safety at Every Visit

We follow strict infection control at every visit. Every instrument is single-use, every surface is disinfected, and a licensed nurse performs the care.

Single-Use Instruments Only

Every nipper, bit, burr, and abrasive is opened new in front of you, used once, and discarded. Nothing that touches your feet has been used on another client.

A Licensed Nurse Every Time

Not a technician or an aide. A licensed registered nurse performs the care and observes your feet at every appointment.

Waterless Technique

No foot baths or soaking basins, which are a recognized route for bacterial and fungal transmission. Soaking also softens skin in ways that make it easier to injure.

Surface Disinfection

Everything brought into your home is disinfected with a hospital-grade product, and we bring our own barrier pads. Sharps and waste leave with us.

Nursing Care, Not Diagnosis

We provide routine care and education. We identify concerns, document them, and refer to a physician or podiatrist. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

The RNscrub
Safety Standard

Every instrument is single-use. We open it in front of you, use it once, and dispose of it safely. There is no reprocessing step to trust, because nothing is reprocessed.

For clients on blood thinners or living with diabetes, that is not a marketing detail. It is the reason to choose a nurse.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What most people want to know before booking.

What is included in a basic foot care visit?

Toenail trimming and filing, reduction of thickened nails as needed, callus and corn care, moisturizing, and a nursing observation of foot structure, skin integrity, and circulation. Visits run about 45 minutes.

How is this different from a pedicure?

Care is provided by a licensed registered nurse using single-use instruments, with observation and documentation at every visit and referral when something needs medical attention. We do not offer massage, nail polish, or foot soaks.

Can you care for clients with diabetes?

Yes, and they are a core part of who we serve. Every visit includes observation of skin integrity, circulation, and protective sensation, plus education on daily care. We refer anything requiring medical evaluation.

What if I take blood thinners?

Tell us when you book. We work more conservatively, reduce thick nails with a rotary tool rather than forcing clippers, and carry supplies to manage any bleeding immediately.

How often should I be seen?

Every six to eight weeks suits most clients, driven by nail growth. Diabetes, reduced circulation, or very thick nails may warrant a shorter interval. We recommend a schedule after the first visit.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes, everything. You do not need to prepare or provide anything beyond a comfortable chair and good lighting.

Do you take insurance or Medicare?

No. We are private-pay, which means no claims, no pre-authorization, and no surprise billing. Routine foot care is generally not covered without qualifying medical complications.
