Our Story

Why We Built RNscrub

RNscrub Foot Care was founded by two California-licensed Registered Nurses who saw a critical gap in the healthcare system — thousands of seniors, diabetics, and individuals with complex health needs were going without safe, professional foot care simply because they couldn't access it.

Too medically complex for a salon. Too routine for a podiatrist visit. The people who needed care most were falling through the cracks.

We built RNscrub to fill that gap — bringing clinical-grade nursing foot care directly to homes, assisted living facilities, board and care homes, and hospice patients across California.

Meet the Co-Founders

RNscrub was built by nurses, for patients — led by two California-licensed RNs with deep clinical backgrounds and a shared passion for accessible, dignified foot care.

Leonard I.

Co-Founder & Lead Foot Care Nurse

Leonard is a California-licensed Registered Nurse and Certified Foot Care Specialist with extensive nursing experience across high-acuity hospital settings — including medical-surgical, trauma, and intensive care — as well as specialized wound care in both subacute and acute environments.

Working across these settings, he noticed patients' feet were consistently overlooked, leading to preventable complications. That observation became the driving force behind RNscrub — bringing the same clinical standards from the hospital directly to clients at home.

Her leadership is what allows RNscrub to deliver consistent, safe, high-quality care to every client, in every setting.

Our Mission

What RNscrub Stands For

Our name reflects the values that guide every visit we make. Each letter represents a commitment we make to every client, every time.

Resilient

Consistent, dependable care — visit after visit — for individuals managing long-term conditions like diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, or age-related foot changes.

Nurturing

Every client is treated with dignity, patience, and compassion — regardless of their health status. You are never just an appointment to us.

Skilled

California-licensed RNs with clinical hospital backgrounds — trained to notice what others miss and refer appropriately when a concern is outside our nursing scope.

Caring

Foot health directly impacts mobility, independence, and quality of life. Even a single visit can provide real relief and prevent serious complications.

Reliable

We show up on time, communicate clearly, and deliver the same professional standard of care in every setting — home, facility, or hospice.

Understanding

Inviting a nurse into your home requires trust. We listen, assess individually, and tailor every visit. When something is beyond our scope, we say so clearly and refer you on.

Background

Founded by two California-licensed RNs with combined experience across hospital nursing, clinical leadership, and community health — built to serve those who need safe foot care most.

Our Commitment to Scope & IntegrityAll services are provided in the capacity of Registered Nurses for nursing care purposes only. We do not diagnose medical conditions. When a concern falls outside our nursing scope, we refer you to the appropriate provider — always with your safety as the priority.

Our Safety Standard

Clinical Safety at Every Visit

We hold ourselves to hospital-grade safety standards — because the clients we serve, particularly seniors and those with diabetes or poor circulation, have the least room for error.

100% Single-Use Instruments

Every instrument we use is opened fresh in front of you, used once, and safely disposed of. No shared tools. No reuse. No exceptions.

Licensed RN at Every Visit

A credentialed California-licensed Registered Nurse performs every appointment — not a technician, aide, or unlicensed worker.

Compliant Sharps Disposal

All clinical waste is handled and disposed of in full compliance with California Medical Waste Management Act regulations.

No Diagnosis — Nursing Care Only

We provide expert nursing care and education. When a clinical concern warrants it, we refer to a physician or podiatrist — clearly and promptly.

Zero Shared Tools.
Every Time.

Unlike salons or some clinics that sanitize and reuse tools, RNscrub operates on a strict single-use model. Every instrument is opened in front of you, used once, and disposed of safely — with no risk of cross-contamination between patients.
